Polished Concrete Stove Bench
Our stove benches are hand made to order at our workshop in East Devon. We manufacture your item to your exact required dimensions within our workshop limitations.
Kobocrete welcome all enquiries for bespoke polished concrete stoves benches, fireplace hearths and TV media units that you would like to have manufactured. We work closely with you to achieve your vision and have the ability to create stunning polished concrete products.
The beauty of our polished concrete is we can cast intricate 3D designs in one piece, this cannot be achieved with natural materials like stone and granite. Your perfect polished concrete hearth, mantel or fire surround is made to your exact specification you choose the colour, size and thickness.
We use high-performance materials to make all our pieces and we apply ICT reactive fusion sealer, the most durable sealer for real-world environments. There is a small amount of ongoing treatment to keep your item protected and full aftercare guide is supplied with every purchase.
Technical
Our products are sold as non-structural polished concrete products. We are not qualified structural engineers. It is the responsibility of the client and installer to ensure the product is secure and suitably supported and capable of taking any imposed loads.
Our concrete mix design uses 3% TEX 135 fibres which we have had tested at our local UKAS accredited testing laboratory and achieved a test cube result of 82 KN/mm2.
Additionally our stove bench tops also have 2.2mm 50×50 Basalt Mesh and 2no. 6mm FRP Rebar cast in for additional reinforcement. If you require further reinforcement then please contact us with your design requirements.
With our polished concrete stove bench tops we recommend the use of Heavy Duty Brackets which are designed to support up to 150kgs per pair of brackets. For ease we can supply the brackets with your order, simple add them to your cart from this product listing.
Is Concrete Right For You?
All of the concrete products we manufacture are made using our own hands. It’s always bespoke. We use small portable power tools like mixers, polishers etc. but we don’t have equipment capable of reproducing on an industrial scale. Our concrete is an honest reflection of who we are, crafted by hand.
Due to the nature of concrete and the hand-crafted process used in the production of the products, variations will occur in colour and surface texture. Our product will have pinholes, colour variation and different surface details.
Concrete inherently has marks, swirls, patterns and imperfections as a result of the casting and finishing process, this is what makes it so unique and appealing as it has a refined rawness which has been handmade.
We always encourage our clients to come and visit our workshop prior to placing an order to make sure our concrete products will achieve your expectations.
