Enhance and protect your stone wall with our coping stones. Manufactured by hand in the UK, they are suitable for residential, commercial, or landscaping projects. A great way to complete your walls, they offer a decorative finish, with an appearance that can often be a defining feature in the overall look.
Often paired with matching pier caps to create a cohesive and polished appearance that enhances both the style and structural integrity of a garden or parapet wall; coping stones for walls create a barrier against erosion and weathering by preventing the penetration of rainwater into the brickwork. Made from the highest quality and durable materials, they will maintain their appearance and provide long-lasting protection.
To cater for all, our collection includes concrete coping stones for a durable and budget-friendly solution, as well as natural stone copings that provide timeless elegance to traditional settings. Known for their classical influences, regency copings are the perfect choice for classical or period-style homes. Cast stone wall coping offers a sophisticated and practical alternative to natural stone. If you’re looking for a softer edge, consider our chamfered copings, which provide a refined finish for both modern and older properties.

What is a coping stone?
Providing effective protection to the brickwork or stonework underneath them, coping stones offer a protective and decorative top layer used on walls, parapets, and other structures to prevent water ingress and provide a finished look.
What is the purpose of placing coping on walls?
Due to their small overhang, they help protect your walls from weather damage by directing the rainwater away from the wall, reducing erosion, water stains and damp issues over time. Over the years, the stone will age naturally like quarried stone, providing years of protection.
How do I install wall coping?
For best results, they can be installed using mortar or a suitable exterior-grade adhesive. We always recommend hiring a professional installer to ensure good water runoff and minimise the risk of loosening over time.
What materials are used for coping?
Commonly made from concrete and natural stones, such as sandstone, limestone, or granite, and cast stone. Each type of material will have its unique aesthetic and functional benefits.
Can coping stones be placed on rendered walls?
Yes, they can be installed on rendered or brick walls as long as they’re installed properly to allow for water runoff and prevent staining.
Do you offer wall coping in custom sizes and colours?
We offer an extensive range of sizes, and our coping is made to order in your choice of colour and material. We also offer a wide variety of styles, such as flat, once weathered (sloped one way), and twice weathered (sloped both sides).
Can I place them on my garden walls?
Yes, they are the perfect choice for garden walls, boundary walls, and even roof parapets.
Do coping stones for walls need to be sealed?
This depends on the type of material they are made of; natural stones benefit from sealing to enhance weather resistance and maintain their appearance, but it’s optional for concrete or cast stone unless in exposed areas.
